Have you ever wondered why your denture keeps breaking?
It is a puzzle to some patients why they have to get their denture repaired almost every three to six months. The main reason is that your denture may be too loose and has lost its support from your gum, or you have some of your teeth left and the denture is made around it, hence every time you eat the pressure of chewing can put a lot of force on the denture, therefore putting tension on the base and eventually the denture will snap in half. Often the breaking will occur in a similar spot or close to the previous crack.
